About Curt
Deep Roots in District 204
Curt has
been a District 204 resident since seventh grade when his family
re-located to the Chicagoland area. He is a graduate of both Hill
Middle School and Waubonsie Valley High School.
Curt and
his wife, Dina, recently celebrated their 10th anniversary and are the
proud parents of Noah (age 4) and Grace (age 2). Noah currently attends
District 204’s preschool. Curt and his family are active members of
Grace Pointe Church in Naperville. Curt’s parents still reside in the
same home where Curt and his brother were raised. His brother, Sean,
and his family live in Aurora.
During his
23 years in the district, Curt has lived on both the far south side and
the far north side of District 204. Having lived in the district as a
student, homeowner, parent, and businessperson, Curt has first hand
knowledge of the needs of the district’s key stakeholders.
As a
District 204 graduate and father of two young children, Curt has a
strong vested interest in the future success of this district.
District 204’s Impact on Curt’s Life
Curt’s experience as a
District 204 student made a profound impact on his life. Specifically,
he credits his teachers for helping him realize his full potential as a
student. In addition, participation in high school sports taught him
self-confidence and discipline and provided him with a network of close
friends.
As a result of the
excellent education and extracurricular opportunities Curt received from
WVHS, he was admitted to his college of choice – the University of
Illinois. Four years later, he graduated mortar board (top honor) from
U of I. In 2001, he graduated #1 in his class with an MBA from one of
the nation’s top business schools, the University of Chicago. He is now
serving as a Vice President at Morgan Stanley, a global investment
firm.
As both a product of
District 204 and an experienced financial executive, Curt brings a
unique perspective that helps help him serve both the educational and
financial goals of the community. He is committed to ensuring that
his kids and all the kids in the district are given the same
opportunities he was given as a student of District 204, while doing so
in a fiscally responsible manner.
Curt’s Desire to Serve YOU
Curt believes there is
no higher honor than being elected to a position of public trust. As a
public servant, he recognizes his most important task is not to rule,
but to serve. Curt believes strongly in creating an environment where
everyone’s opinions are heard and respected; an environment that makes
it unmistakably clear that the contributions of each individual matter.
Because of the opportunities he has had in life, Curt feels both an
obligation and a desire to serve and improve the lives of others in
District 204.
